About these Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to our use of any words, pictures, images, data, information or any other ‘user-generated content’ that you upload, post or share (“Content”) via the IKEA Family User Generated Content platform (the “IKEA Family UGC Platform”) and which we use on our website, emails, or in other marketing channels or in any IKEA owned social media platforms (“IKEA Media”). If the Content contains any personal information, IKEA will handle such data in accordance with our Privacy policy, as described below.
IKEA/we/our/us in these Terms refer to IKEA North America Services, LLC, located at 420 Alan Wood Road, Conshohocken, PA 19428, USA.

Our Use of the Content
From time to time, we, along with our authorized service providers, select Content submitted by Family Members to the IKEA Family UGC Platform that we would like to use in IKEA Media and marketing.
Submission of content by IKEA Family Members to the IKEA Family UGC Platform allows permission for the Content selected to be used by IKEA in accordance with these Terms.
In order to be selected as a participating contributor, you must be aged 18 years or older, be an IKEA Family Member and adhere to that programs Terms.
You do not need to purchase anything from IKEA in order to submit content to the IKEA Family UGC Platform.
Once submitting content to the IKEA Family UGC Platform, you have given your Consent and you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By giving your Consent, you:
grant IKEA and its affiliates a non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual right and license without compensation to use your Content as set out in these Terms;
represent and warrant that your Content is your original creation and not copied from third parties;
are directing IKEA to share your Content with third parties without receiving renumeration, including in public marketing/advertising and/or on social media,
acknowledge that your Content may appear on IKEA Media;
represent and warrant that you have all the rights necessary to allow us to use your Content, including, without limitation, that you have the right to use your IKEA Family Member account information from which the Consent was granted);
represent and warrant that the creation and use of your Content in any IKEA Media complies with all applicable laws and regulations;
represent and warrant that your Content does not infringe or otherwise violate the copyright, trademark, trade secret, publicity, privacy or other intellectual property or other rights of any third party and that your Content is free from viruses and other malware;
waive all rights to inspect or approve any Content prior to its use in IKEA Media;
release and discharge IKEA from any claim, demand, cause of action, compensation, fees or damages, for defamation, invasion of privacy, publicity, or for any similar matter based upon or relating to IKEA’s use of your Content; and
waive any moral rights, rights of attribution, authorship rights, rights to object to modification, and any similar rights you may have in your Content, such as any right you may have to be named as the author of the Content or to protect the integrity of your Content.
You give us your permission for us to redesign, archive, reproduce, disseminate, display, publicly perform and/or replay and make publicly accessible, as well as to cut and edit, adapt, modify, create derivatives works of, and otherwise exploit your Content or any part of it.
If your Content is corrupted, inappropriate, illegible, or otherwise not in accordance with these Terms then we will not accept your Content and remove it from any IKEA Media.
You accept that IKEA has no obligation to use your Content even if we request to use your Content. IKEA may choose not to use your Content or to remove your Content from any IKEA Media at any time.
You agree that you will not receive any payment or other remuneration if we use your Content in any IKEA Media.
You may withdraw your Consent at any time by contacting our Customer Service Contact Center at 1-888-888-4532. Please give IKEA five (5) business days to process your request.
If you remove any of the Content you released to us via the IKEA Family UGC Platform it was originally posted on, then it will be removed from the IKEA Media only where your and our IKEA Family UGC Platform are linked, subject to reasonable delays for technical reasons. If your Content is used by us on the IKEA Family UGC Platform or in IKEA Media, which are not linked and as a result your Content is not removed from the IKEA Media as a result of you removing it from the linked IKEA Family UGC Platform, and you would no longer like your Content to be posted on the relevant IKEA Media, then please contact our Customer Service Contact Center to notify us of your request. Please give IKEA five (5) business days to process your request. Once your request is processed, we will remove your Content within a reasonable timeframe.
To the extent it is permitted by law to do so, we accept no liability for any damage, injury or loss suffered due to our use of your Content or our failure to remove your Content per these Terms.
We will only use personal information supplied by you for the purposes of posting your Content or use in IKEA Media unless you provide your Consent for us to use your personal information for any other agreed purpose.
IKEA reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without notice, and such changes shall be deemed effective immediately upon posting of the modified Terms. You should regularly review these Terms to ensure that you are aware of, understand and accept any changes made. The version of the Terms in force at the date you provide your Consent will apply to your Content.
These Terms are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and any disputes in relation to them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Our Privacy Notice
The Content submitted by you that we collect may contain your personal information, including your Name and IKEA Family identifier on the IKEA Family UGC Platform, photographs, and any personal information contained in the text you include with your submission on IKEA Family UGC Platform. We collect, use and share the personal information we collected from the Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available at https://www.ikea.com/us/en/customer-service/privacy-policy/.Our Privacy Policy also contains instructions on how you can exercise your data privacy rights under applicable laws.
